Problems in Cancer Detection with Breast Implants

Disturbed lifestyles and priorities in life are deterring the health conditions already. The rate of diseases that have no sure shot treatment is increasing largely among the people all over the globe. We are speaking about various forms of cancer. The worst thing about this disease is there are no obvious symptoms that trace to this disease. This in no way is a belittling fact except that the surgeries are done by the figure conscious people and not the really needful people like those who had one of their breasts removed due to an accident or while fighting cancer.
Probably it is a good thing for cosmetic surgeons to see a zooming demand for boobs augmentation. But medically, this cannot be welcoming at all considering the various problems breast augmentation leads to. Especially in case of implants, diagnosis of breast cancer becomes very difficult. The reason being implants are not friendly to the rays to generate a clear picture of the underlying tissues and irregular patterns if any. In fact they obstruct the light and the region holding implants only appear as large dots on the x-ray photograph. Due to this, it is not possible to detect the anomalies in the tissues or get a proper mammogram. Moreover, implants also lead to breakage of tissues and nerves thereby.
It is therefore prudent to have first discussed rightly with your doc about all the pros and cons of the plastic surgery for boobs. Understand the exact process, plausible tissue damage, consequent care to be taken and the position of the implant before taking the decision to go for one. Remember, prevention is always better than cure. And if we are talking about cancer, then we definitely are not interested in being sloppy about our health!
